We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Test Engineer to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for planning and executing testing activities, with a strong focus on manual testing, while also contributing to test automation efforts to support quality and efficiency objectives.

 Key Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate testing activities across the software development lifecycle, ensuring product quality and reliability
• Design, develop, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements
• Perform manual testing of backend services, APIs, and applications, identifying, documenting, and tracking defects
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated tests where appropriate to improve test coverage and efficiency
• Analyze test results, investigate issues, and support troubleshooting activities with development teams
• Ensure testing activities are integrated into the software delivery process and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, including manual and automated testing activities
• Experience testing backend systems and APIs
• In-depth experience with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, JMeter
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, including test design, automation,
• validation, and troubleshooting
• Practical experience using SQL for data verification and test setup
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Experience with Jira and Xray for test management
• Excellent command of Italian and English (spoken and written)
• ISTQB Certification or similar is a plus
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams
• Strong ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to actively contribute to day‑to‑day testing activities

Location Requirement:

• Please note that a fully remote work policy is not offered for this role
• Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Canton Ticino/Switzerland or towns near the Swiss-Italian border
• Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client's policy
