Test Automation Manager

For our branch in Lugano (Switzerland), we are seeking an experienced Test Automation Manager to lead the team in enhancing our test automation strategy.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping our testing strategy, driving automation adoption, and mentoring a high-performing testing team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, implement, and maintain the test automation architecture
• Lead the planning, design, development, and implementation of automated test frameworks for RESTful APIs, microservices, and other backend systems
• Developing and implementing quality standards and quality control systems
• Oversee the execution of automated tests, analyze results, and report on test progress and quality metrics
• Identify and prioritize issues, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and improving backend test automation frameworks in Java, with a proven track record in API testing
• Extensive knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, etc
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Fluent English and Italian

• Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Canton Ticino (Switzerland) or Italian Border Towns (such as Como, Varese etc.)
• Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client's policy
