Data Analyst / Data Quality Engineer

For our Lugano Branch (CH) we are looking for a Data Analyst / Data Quality Engineer to join our team within a banking environment.
In this role, you will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of data across data warehouse solutions. The position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze datasets to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
• Support the implementation and monitoring of data quality controls and checks
• Work with data warehouse environments to analyze and validate data pipelines
• Develop and execute SQL queries and Python scripts to investigate data issues and perform analysis
• Produce reports and dashboards to communicate insights and data quality metrics

Tech Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in computer science or engineering
• 5 + working experience as Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or similar role in Banking/Financial area
• Solid hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Experience working with Data Warehouse solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience performing data analysis, validation, and quality checks
• Fluent in both written and spoken Italian and English

• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and LLM concepts

Location Requirement

• We do not offer a fully remote work policy;
• Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Canton Ticino/Switzerland
• Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client's policy
