Sr. QA/Test Automation Engineer

For our office in Lugano (Switzerland), we are looking for a Senior QA/Test Automation Engineers.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing automated tests for both backend and frontend systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with test automation tools, particularly Tricentis Tosca, and a strong understanding of JavaScript or C#/.NET, along with practical experience in SQL. You will work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of our testing processes.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for backend and frontend systems 
• Understanding requirements and translating those into test scenarios
• Implement and execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects and issues
• Troubleshoot and debug issues found during test runs
• Ensure the integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
• Developing and implementing quality standards and quality control systems
• Collaborate with the development team to understand application functionalities and develop comprehensive test plans

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• +5 years of hands-on experience backend/frontend test automation and API testing
• Excellent knowledge of tools and libraries such as Tricentis Tosca, Test Complete or similar, Postaman, Selenium, Soap UI, Jmeter
• Practical experience in SQL 
• Good knowledge of CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins, Github, etc
• Proficiency of Jira and XRAY
• Good command of Italian and English is essential
• ISTQB Certification or equivalent would be considered a plus
• Experience in an Agile environment

Location Requirement

• We do not offer a fully remote work policy
• Candidates should be prepared to relocate to to Canton Ticino (Switzerland) or Italian Border Towns (such as Como, Varese etc.)
• Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client's policy
